I’m not much on image-manipulation, and I still sincerely believe that McCain’s domestic policies would be just as bad as Obama’s — because, well, he told us so. That said, this doesn’t lend one to a sense of hope.
He’s here on his way to go golfing on Father’s Day. Good for him. Presidents need more time to themselves, and if they got it, maybe we’d have a better class of person running for the job.
But this photo, which I saw on Drudge (it’s an AP shot) bothered me for a while, until I finally figured out what it was: look at the hand. There’s no energy in those hands at all. Those wrists are just limp and flappy; the hands and wrists of a guy who doesn’t actually DO anything. Seriously, take a look around you: nobody who actually does anything with their day walks like this, unless they’re runners specifically letting their arms all flappy so as to keep tension from screwing with their technique.
Not exactly what you want to see in your President during not one, but three crises.
