Actually dreamed about this last night..

more wild animals, showing up to eat us.

In my dream, it was a bear, that was more like a cross between a bear, a werewolf, and the powerlifter from hell (is if that weren’t ALREADY redundant).  But… I know a guy in Juneau who has a real neat item that seems to keep critters away — a cattle prod.  Apparently wild things hear the “lightning” when you cycle it, and hit the hills, asap.

Might be handy to have about if you know you live near something that might steal your kid (or rip your face off just for the hell of it).

  2. Better have that helmet anchored to the shoulders: I’ve heard of brown bear CUBS knocking guys’ heads off their shoulders.

The guy who came up with this whole thing is quite a character, and I think the Ursus VI indeed had the helmet bolted on. I saw an extended version of this back in 2000 where you watch the evolution of the suits and you have interviews with the inventor. I still can’t help but laugh every time I see him show the effectiveness of the suit against the bar fighters.
