  1. I have little optimism that we will have the guts and wherewithal to undertake anything like that until we absolutely have to. Our Beloved Leader is about to cut our economic guts out and cripple our children with debt and huge inflation.

  2. NASA? Oh, helllllll no. Private doods looking to make a buck? They’re making progress. Not there yet, but they’ll be the ones to push it.

    Well NASA got a hell of a stimulus – but I doubt we’ll see it put towards this. They’ve got too many internal organizational problems, but at least they admit they have a problem which is great progress from where they were 8-16 years ago.

    As for the private organizations seeking to get into space, I agree with you that they’re making outstanding progress, but since they’ve been financed with private capital that is evaporating with the financial meltdown I wonder how much progress they’ll be able to make. I hope they’ll preservere.

  4. I saw a think like that showing the progression of the Russian space station. Freaking cool.
