Michael Totten deserves cash.

and if I had plenty to spare, he’d get a couple hundred, pretty much instantly.

Examplum gratia.

We need serious journalism like this, b/c we sure as hell aren’t getting it from the bobble-heads on CNN.  And this guy’s entire operation is run on a tip jar.

Yeah, he is GOOD. I read his stuff all the time. Also try Michael Yon. He has a book out that is the best thing on the IRaq war yet.

THIS is what Ernie Pyle must have been like. Not too many reporters know that name anymore. Too damn bad, things would be really different if they did.

There is a very good biography I read on Ernie Pyle last year…but I cannot remember the author’s name. Remind me about it to my home email account and I’ll send you the author’s name, or, mail you the book if you want to borrow it.

Ernie Pyle’s War, by James Tobin. That’s the book.

%(*&$@(*^(@#*& it, your freaken webpage ate my post. Short version, Totten and Yon good, willing to suffer to get a good story and write a STORY. Not some 30 second soundbite filtered so we can “understand it”. THey also show that there are many truths in IRaq and what holds for the north doesn’t hold in the south and so on. But because that doesn’t fit into 30 seconds the MSM skips that part.

People like this do better than all of CNN put together. More reporters like this might help the papers instead of the crap they currently push.
