  2. Rest in peace, Rudy. Your family loved you and you loved them. That is better than many humans, my friend. Chase the celestial birds….

  3. Well shit.

    *sigh*

    So are you gonna bury him or get him stuffed?

    Opted for burial, as his skin wasn’t in such good shape… but we got revenge on his fleas, and buried them all alive…

    Looks like Rudy will have company – my cat Grace went this weekend. My sincere condolences, it’s hard to lose a friend you’ve had for many years.
    We’re opting for cremation and me putting the ashes as a base for a plant in the gardens. She loved to eat plants so I’m hoping the irony of plant eating her ashen remains won’t annoy her spirit too much. She wanted a pyramid so I could make sacrifices Egyptian style to her, but I couldn’t get the building permit.

    All Rudy really wanted was a lap… but my wife balks at human sacrifice.

    Sounds like a very giving and great cat. The world is poorer for the loss.

    Well, Old Man Cat will always keep an eye on the squirrels at least. He’s buried right opposite to their favorite tree. And the blueberry bushes will LOVE him in return too.

    ::sigh::

    Much as we try to take this in good humor, it was a hard weekend. I keep looking for him around the house or litening for his voice.

  11. Hiya – that earlier ‘Madeleine’ comment about burying or stuffing was from James. I’m just sorry Rudy’s gone. He was a wonderful cat… it’s odd, but I never actually thought he would die. I guess it was the mojo….

    Well, the cat had mojo, that’s for certain. How often do you see a neutered male make it to 21? House is very quiet now… and, not surprisingly, much more clean… 🙂

    FYI, the ???? should be replaced with 1989.

    Yes, he was 19 years old.
