Go fast! Go far!

Or, something like that.  As lots of Orthodox know, fasting is good for you.

Not that they fast for that reason.. but still, groovy.  There are days when I really DO feel like I shouldn’t be eating anything…

    When *I* don’t eat, I start to want to kill things and lick up their blood on the streets like some kind of zombie nature show…

  3. Plenty of health reasons to fast — promotes longevity, heart and arterial health, etc. etc.

    As I recall, TG (our favorite Orthodox) has triglyceride and cholesterol levels equivalent to a man more than half his age…

    Ahm 2 separate days a week and it’s not a total fast. So your metabolism can’t adjust. I don;t keep it well anymore with all the travel but its rare to see those who do and are fat.

    Lent and Advent are longer periods but again, its not a total fast. However as you know, I do get both predatory and gaseous.
