It’s snowing in Texas.

Let me repeat.  Outside my window, in Irving Tx, halfway between Dallas (ack, put) and Fort Worth, it is SNOWING.   On EASTER WEEKEND.

Global warming, my ass.

It’s been snowing all weekend (not sticking a lot thankfully) here in Ohio. During breaks I took a look at the plants that popped out of the ground so far – some of them ain’t looking so good.
I think we’re more in for climate imbalance rather than global warming myself.

  2. Well, sure, global climate change is one thing, but “the planet has a fever?”

I think global warming is a misnomer. The overall average temp of the planet may be warming, but one can skew averages real easy if several places have very hot spring, summers, and falls such that the average is higher than expected.
Interestingly – there is global warming detected on several other planets in our solar system (Mars, Saturn, Titan, Neptune, maybe even Pluto) which suggests the Sun may be heating things up too. I doubt humanity could destroy the planet, but I do think we’ve somehow screwed up the local climates quite a bit and it will take awhile for everything to sort itself out.

  5. My pet theory is that the trees have been in charge all along. They are pretty patient, but every so often, other life forms bother them. Mostly, on this planet, the chief instigators of their troubles are the apes. When the dinosaurs got out of hand, they called the lizard exterminators, and the rest is history.

Later, they sent out another call….to the ape exterminators. It takes a long time to travel through interstellar space, but the call went out a long time ago.

It is just a question of time……….
