Weird Al on MySpace

Weird Al made the parodies.

Poked at the fevered egos of the entertainment world.  With their willing support.

And he, along with his versatile, kick-ass band, has outlasted them all.

So perhaps it’s not surprising that somebody would pose as him on MySpace.  But oh, how pathetic to do so…

  1. His new CD is pretty Cool — Although Atlantic Records threatened to sue the croppies out of him if he released “Pitiful” on that album. So he released it for free to get them back. The new album ranks best in his top 3, IMHO.

Anyway, it was released last Tuesday, and is most Excellent!

  2. Ok,, I’ll say this without being a “D&CK”.

AL, himself, loves that site. I don’t see why you have a problem with it. Maybe it is actually him, maybe it isn’t. He claims it is… I have no worries about such a claim.

  3. I’m sorry, Bob, but your illiteracy is not my problem, and gratuitous political insults are not welcome. Why don’t you go and READ the site I linked?

On said very nice site, Mr. Yankovic mentions that people on Myspace have been pretending to be him. And that, clearly, sucks.

  4. Alright — you’re talking about his fine-print message at the bottom of the site… yes. I didn’t realize you were talking about that.

And you are certainly right, many of the Napster/Morpheus/Kazaa entries (comedy) are labelled ‘Weird Al’ if people don’t know the author. Very sad indeed on an idealistic level, but it generates more popularity for AL, so he can’t be too disappointed.

So, my definition of Liberal does not apply. :), Sorry
