So, the immediate question…

Does this layout work?  Or should I port a facsimile of the older site, instead?

    I actually like the smudge…It’s artsy…:-)
Some thoughts: I still go to the Boxing…site for your linkfest; for me, the paragraph format does not work that well, and it’s hard to realize that your links are now in two separate tabs, with no indication that those tabs are for, well, links.

  2. I just modified the Casual Links page. Is this an improvement, or would you recommend going back to a two-column format?

I don’t know–it looks a bit…scattered this way. LIke the columns don’t line up or something. But I am hard to please…(and yes, this is an easy ball, so please have mercy on me…) 🙂

If this is an eyeball factory, I want to see some eyeballs.
    I feel gyped, damnit.

Okay, links on the right hand site are better…:-) I am a traditionalist…and it does not look as crowded as I thought it would. I like the categories function…
But, all in all, it is your blog, so do it the way it makes the most sense to YOU…:-)

  7. Link Farm redone. Should be easier to read now.

  8. Not a fan:

    1. Too many boxen
    2. Each article separate means a click per article instead of just scrolling by
    3. Grey-on-grey color scheme is very low contrast — which’s harder on headache-prone eyeballs
    4. Have I mentioned it’s boxy?

PS. I DO like having BA & HC accessible from one vantage, however.

  9. Oh, I see: if you click "home" you get a scrollable — got it. 🙂

(As an aside, JimDesu, this software also lets me do THIS without going to a third-party, which is handy when the flamewars or spambots get out of hand).

  10. Unfortunately, I can’t help the colors — the hosted service doesn’t give you the degree of control that running it on your own server does. (Meaning, you can’t access your template code directly).

I was directly thinking of the Cupcake when I put the posts in separate areas… I think she’d like some of the Happycrow posts.. BA’s? Not so much…

  11. The Cupcake isn’t really that fragile. Kinda like a lion that thinks she’s a pussycat, actually; but no need for censorship based on *her*, believe me. She’ll had you your *ss on a platter if the occasion arises.

  12. Ah, so you’re saying, all that fluffy stuff hasn’t hidden TOO much of the Spanish blood?

    But she’s so… cute, and fluffy… with big eyes…
