So am I. (jalapeno smoked turkey AND roasted turkey today, in addition to jalapeno cornbread dressing, and oyster dressing – oh yeah)
Mike
/ November 24, 2006Yeah. Tomorrow is Deer Brauts boiled in beer. Today was hotdogs and Valintino’s pizza at Memorial Statium while watching UNL beat Colorado into little bitty gold colored bits.
The cheer of the day:
“Buffalo, its what’s for dinner!”

Mike
/ November 27, 2006Well, this Mike is in Kansas (unfortunately) and WAS in Nebraska for Thanksgiving. And Buffalo was on the menu, as was deer. The deer I shot myself, and the buffalo showed up after the UNL-Colorado game in Lincoln were someone was passing out buffalo jerky to celebrate the win. The pizza of course can be purchased at any Valentino’s in Kansas, Iowa or Nebraska store.

You up at Riley or something? I’ve never heard of Valentino’s – I don’t think we have’m in Wichita/Topeka/Lawrence/KC…
Mike
/ November 28, 2006Yes I am. Oh hell, I never thought about it but you are in Wichita aren’t you? Hmmm, we might need to meet up at some point.
As for Valentino’s, I think the furthest south one is in Manhatten (it is primarily found in Nebraska), but if you have one down there I highly recommend it.

/ November 28, 2006Mike,
Better yet, I’m actually in Topeka at Washburn University’s law school (at least until december 15 when my last final is done and I’ll be all officially graduated and junk).
No Valentino’s here – I’ve never heard of it – though I do have a phone book with Manhattan in it… OTOH, we have a heck of a nice Irish pub in Topeka, and a great Indian place, so we’re not totally worthless. Nothing good pizza/Italian wise though.
